Mindful Self-Compassion for Social Workers ~ Learning to be Present for Your Clients/CEUs

Have the events of the past few years taken its toll on your ability to be present for your clients? This workshop is the antidote for the secondary trauma you may be experiencing.  My passion is to support therapists on their journey to face emotional challenges, focus on self -healing and create a life of deep meaning, loving- kindness and heart-centered connection to be fully present for their clients. This workshop is inspired by the progress of my clients in decreasing symptoms of dysregulation by committing to daily practice. Come with a beginners’ mind and be prepared to be transformed!

In this unique, workshop/retreat,  participants will be given sufficient opportunity to practice skills presented and share their experiences.

So You Landed That Job in the Schools!  NOW WHAT? Learn How to be a  SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER!/CEUs

Schools are a complicated host setting like no other! I am an ODE licensed school social worker for over 22 years and a founder of the Ohio School Social Workers Association.  I have received more calls than I can count for social workers asking for HELP!  I facilitate supervision groups specifically for social workers who find themselves working in schools.  These courses will prepare you to navigate the hurdles you will encounter.  I have enticed a good friend and colleague of mine to co-write these courses. She is an expert in her field as an intervention specialist for students with severe emotional disturbances, a special education administrator and Ohio Department of Education Regional State Support Team. You have found your support!

Tell Us What You Need

 Nice to meet you!

Hi! I’m Kate, a clinical social worker who provides psychotherapy to women open to exploring their lives with a beginners mind AND teaches other Social Workers how to weave self-care into their lives to avoid burnout, choose an existentially healthy life and better meet the needs of their clients. I work with professional Social Workers through an existential lens to heal their bodies and soul from the inside out so they can live a life of power, presence, and purpose.

What Clients and Colleagues are saying:

Supervisees

“Kate’s supervision is supportive, flexible and affordable. The online format is very accessible and comparable to engaging in “physically” face-to-face supervision. Kate is genuinely interested in supporting you in developing a growth-oriented plan/idea of your future as an independent social worker and provides guidance along the way. I found Kate’s insight into how to integrate body-sensitive interventions and education into traditional talk therapy invaluable. Moreover, she is sensitive to the influence of different levels-of-system on your level of social work practice (primarily clinical, in my case) and is more than willing to share a breadth of resources consistent with your practice needs. I highly recommend and appreciate Kate!”

James Braga, MSW, LISW

“Kate's group was collaborative, informative and well run. I was able to build relationships not only with Kate, but with my peers in the group. It provided me the support I needed as a new social worker. The online format was conducive to my life and made obtaining my independent license seamless. "

Chloe Campisi, MSW, LISW

"Kate provides supervisees with a unique learning experience that provides an informative session while making the sessions fun and interactive. Her supervision is affordable and well worth the money. It is an environment that I miss and helped further my practice in social worker. A +++, well recommended."

Daniel Lewis, MSW
